On December 23, the 14㎡ Pellet Shaft Furnace Project (Phase II) of Alliance Steel (M) Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as "Alliance Steel") with CIE as the general contractor was successfully put into operation more than one month ahead of time, marking the successful completion of the last construction unit of Alliance Steel with an output of 3.5 million tons and another important project of CIE along the Belt and Road.

After the Pellet Shaft Furnace Project (Phase II) is put into operation, it will produce 720,000 tons of qualified pellets with a strength of more than 2000N per year, which can effectively improve the situation of high production pressure and difficult maintenance of shaft furnace in Phase I. After being combined with the Phase I shaft furnace, it can fully ensure self-sufficiency of blast furnace burden, further increase the output of blast furnace, reduce production costs, and contribute to the cost reduction, efficiency improvement and operation benefit increase of Alliance Steel.

CIE and Alliance Steel have a deep friendship and have been working together for eight years. During that period, CIE contracted to build the sintering and pellet shaft furnace (Phase I and Phase II) projects, while its subsidiary Hetian (Hunan) International Engineering Management Co., Ltd. was responsible for the whole-process project management of Alliance Steel. With excellent performance, CIE and Hetian (Hunan) International have been awarded the "Best Complete Equipment Supplier" and "Best Project Management Company" respectively.
