The "activated carbon + low-temperature SCR denitration" combined process independently developed by CIE has been successfully applied in Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Sintering Project
Recently, the full-load test run of the new main flue gas denitration and equipment function improvement project for primary and secondary sintering processes in Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was successfully completed, marking the successful industrial application of the "activated carbon + low-temperature SCR denitration" combined process independently developed by CIE. The project was designed and supplied with facilities and materials in complete sets by CIEE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIE.
The combined process of "activated carbon + low-temperature SCR denitration" firstly invented by CIE was adopted for the Project. In order to successfully make true the industrial application of this process, CIE established a pilot test demonstration project of "activated carbon desulfurization + low-temperature SCR denitration" for 30,000 Nm3/h sintered flue gas in Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. in 2019, and accumulated a wealth of basic data after one-year exploration.
At the same time, more than ten patented technologies, including the air-screen process and device as well as low-temperature SCR device independently developed by CIE, have been adopted for the Project. Making full use of the high desulfurization and dust-removal efficiency of activated carbon device, these technologies mentioned above can lower the emission concentration of sulfur dioxide and dust in the flue gas to less than 10 mg/m3 through the flue gas purification of the primary adsorption tower, so as to guarantee low-temperature SCR; the 180 °C low-temperature honeycomb catalyst is adopted to greatly reduce gas consumption and operation cost; the activated carbon air-screen technology is adopted to reduce the dust entering the adsorption tower through the air selection of activated carbon entering the adsorption tower, further ensuring that the particulate matter emission concentration in the flue gas is superior to the ultra-low emission standard.
After this project is put into operation, the emission concentration of flue gas from primary and secondary sintering processes in Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. is comprehensively superior to the national ultra-low emission standard. The purification device can reduce about 1000 tons of particulate matter, about 17,000 tons of sulfur dioxide and about 9,200 tons of nitrogen and oxygen compounds every year, greatly reducing the emission of pollutants, effectively assisting in the green development of Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., setting a model for ultra-low emission transformation in the industry, and having a great environmental demonstration effect.
