It is known from the《Notice on list of awards of year 2010 recommended and reviewed by the China Iron and Steel association and the Chinese Society for Metals》that the 《Research and application of oxidized pellet production technology of hematite》applied by Zhongye Changtian is appraised the third prize of metallurgical science and technology.

The “Oxidized pellet production technology of hematite” successfully solves many technical difficulties in production of oxidized pellet from hematite, such as small specific surface area, poor ballability and high induration and consolidation temperature etc., and a series of breakthroughs have been made in process control and key equipment. In February of 2008, for 1.2 million ton/a grate-kiln hematite and oxidized pellet production line in Zhuhai of Guangzhou city, the proportion of hematite accounted for 90%～100% of the ironbearing raw materials, the product pellet output and quality exceeded the design requirements and the technical indexes of pellet all reached the standards of firstgrade product.
