On July 8, the mining corporation of CIE signed the beneficiation system EPC contract for Fiji Mba Delta iron ore project (hereinafter it is referred as Fiji project) with the Avic International Ship Development (China) Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as AVIC SHIP).

The Fiji project site is located in Fiji's main island of Viti Levu, and the Owner is the Australian listed company Amex. The project includes mining, beneficiation, transportation, ore washing at the wharf and shipment etc. CIE undertakes the part of beneficiation system, including all the production process and facilities on the beneficiation ship and their auxiliary facilities like water, electricity, steel structure, firefighting, assaying (testing) and office building etc., it is predicted that the project will be completed in Dec of 2017, when annual production of iron concentrate will be 750,000 t.
