The Best General Contractor | CIE Wins High Praise from the Owner for the 4# and 5# Sintering Machine Projects of Quanzhou Minguang

2023/09/26

On September 22, CIE, the General Contractor of the 4# and 5# Sintering Machine Projects of Fujian Quanzhou Minguang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Quanzhou Minguang"), paid a return visit to obtain feedbacks on the project design. During the visit, Quanzhou Minguang highly recognized the contributions made by CIE in assisting it in achieving capacity replacement and upgrading, energy conservation, emissions reduction, and efficiency improvement goals, and honored CIE and the Project Manager with the titles of "Best General Contractor" and "Outstanding Project Manager" to acknowledge their outstanding performance. This event is a testimony to the sincere cooperation and win-win partnership between the two sides and also marks a new starting point for enhancing friendship and deepening cooperation.

The 4# and 5# Sintering Machine Projects are a key initiative in response to national industrial policies. By implementing the projects, Quanzhou Minguang aims to reduce production costs, minimize energy consumption, re-plan its own steel production capacity, and carry out equipment renovation and upgrading. The 4# and 5# sintering production lines were successively put into operation in August 2022. Since their operations began, the two sintering machines have performed well, achieving rapid and compliant production. The new lines can deliver more satisfying outcomes than the original sintering production line. In terms of total emissions of waste gas pollutants, significant milestones have been achieved with reductions of 3,066.41 tons/year of particulate matter, 1,605.08 tons/year of sulfur dioxide, and 2,438.05 tons/year of nitrogen oxides. In terms of total emissions of wastewater pollutants in the entire plan, the projects have led to reductions of 4.35 tons/year of COD, 0.42 tons/year of ammonia nitrogen, and 1.29 tons/year of total nitrogen.
