On June 19, it was known from Changsha Science and Technology Bureau that, the “Research and development of key technology and equipment for grate-kiln oxidized pellet production system” applied by CIE had been approved as one of the first batch of key scientific and technological projects of year 2012 in Changsha, it supports the construction of National technical research center for sintering and pelletizing equipment system engineering by way of project funding.

Special scientific research team has been established for the project, the researches of the three sub-projects are to be completed in three years’ time, and the three subjects are “mathematical model for thermal system of grate kiln system”, “Key pelletizing equipment technology” and “Intelligent control system for grate kiln pelletizing”. With the cooperation mode of production, teaching and research, the expected test indicators will be realized, the thermal model of grate kiln which can accurately calculates the process parameters of various links and key equipment in engineering design, the intelligent control system for grate-kiln pelletizing and such key pelletizing equipment as furnace liner of rotary kiln, flexible drive and intensive mixer etc. will developed finally, creating condition for sustainable promotion of CIE pelletizing technology.
