The social benefits of Guiyang municipal domestic wastes landfill project of CIE is notable
It was known on July 4 that, Guiyang municipal domestic wastes landfill project designed by CIE had passed completion acceptance. The daily domestic wastes treatment capacity of the project is 200t, it is a comprehensive project integrated with municipal infrastructure construction, environmental health and public undertakings etc. The construction of the project promotes reduction, recycling and harmless treatment of the domestic wastes in Guiyang county, having notable social environmental benefits.
Guiyang County is located in the south east of Hunan province, it is a county in Chenzhou city with the biggest area and the largest population. The designed capacity for the municipal domestic wastes sanitary landfill project is about 3,280,700 m3. During design process, CIE takes the lead in Hunan domestic waste landfill projects to adopt recharging and (semi) quasiaerobic landfill scheme, which integrates the advantages of anaerobic landfill and aerobic landfill. In technology aspects, compared with the anaerobic sanitary landfill, quasiaerobic landfill provides favorable conditions for waste degradation, the waste degrades quickly, the stockpile stabilization speed increases, which are favorable for site stabilization and rehabilitation. As the wastes degrade effectively, the concentration of pollutants like BOD etc. in the leachate of quasiaerobic sanitary landfill is low, also quick stabilization of the landfill can be realized under quasiaerobic condition, the development of land reclamation can be carried out after seal of landfill site for 46 years. In economic aspects, compared with aerobic landfill, no air blasting equipment is needed for the quasiaerobic landfill, the construction cost is low and energy consumption is little. Taken together, adopting the recharging quasiaerobic landfill scheme for the project can alleviate the financial stress of environmental health units, improve the city environment sanitation quality and increase the city environment sanitation level.
Besides adopting the advanced recharging quasiaerobic landfill scheme for the project, according to the existing engineering experience and experiment at home and abroad, the comprehensive sewerage treatment process of biochemical treatment + ultrafiltration + nanofiltration is also adopted in the design to ensure that the waste leachate treatment can reach the grade 1 emission standard of 《Pollution control standard for domestic waste landfill》（GB168891997）. It is designed that the area for comprehensive utilization of methane is reserved in the landfill, thus the renewable resources can be further utilized.
