On Aug 15, the significant special project of Changsha science and technology plans undertaken by CIE——“ The research and development and industrialization of emission reduction of sintering waste gas and key technology of desulphurization and denitration——Research of flue gas circulation sintering process and equipment” has successfully passed the site review acceptance by the expert group organized by Changsha science and technology bureau. The expert group gave full recognition for the achievements and important development in the project, and the project was accepted with a high score of 96.6 points.

The project was approved in 2009 by Changsha Science and Technology Bureau as the important special project of Changsha science and technology plans. After three years of hard research work for the project, breakthrough has been made in research of sintering waste gas circulation technology innovation, a batch of significant core equipment with proprietary intellectual property rights such as sinter machine end seal, sinter machine feed end and discharge end seal, high efficient flue gas mixing device and liquid seal for circular cooler etc have been developed successively. By adopting this technology, the flue gas circulation and emission reduction for the sinter machine can be up to 30%～50%, the comprehensive energy consumption for the sintering can be decreased by 6%，decreasing investment and operation cost for flue gas end control and providing favorable technical support for energy conservation and emission reduction of iron and steel enterprises. During project implementation, 11 patents have been applied, 1 achievement passed the provincial and ministerial scientific achievements identification, and the integral technology has reached international advanced level.
