At 23:35 on Mar 31, the load test for Baima concentrator 3 million t/a concentrate quality improvement EPC project of Panzhihua New Baima Mining Co., Ltd of Pansteel Group undertaken by CIE was successful, and on Apr 2, it entered the pilot production period smoothly.

The project is a set of newly built magnetic separation system, at the same time, its tailing system will be connected into the tailing thickener built in Baima iron ore mine phase 1 project. The major construction contents include construction of a new concentrate magnetic separation room and magnetic separation substation of concentrate with a building area of 640 ㎡. About 5000m tailing pipelines and concentrate pipelines have been laid, and over 60 sets of new equipment including magnetic separator, slurry pipe, motor and transformer etc. have been installed. The completion of the project will make the ore grade of the ore receiving unit New Steel & Vanadium Company Limited of Pansteel increase from 55% to 57%, reducing energy consumption of its production and promoting market competition capacity.
