Baosteel Zhanjiang sintering flue gas purification project fully enters the major equipment installation stage
On Mar 26, with the smooth installation completion of feed conveyors for No.1 and No.2 adsorption tower, the Baosteel Zhanjiang sintering flue gas purification facility EPC project undertaken by CIE fully enters the major equipment installation stage, which provides favorable conditions for full completion of the destination nodes installation by the end of this July.
The active carbon flue gas cleaning technology applied in 2×550m2 sinter machine flue gas cleaning project of Baosteel Zhanjiang I & S Co., Ltd. is the most advanced flue gas cleaning technology in current sintering flue gas cleaning field, the technology can remove many kinds of pollutants like sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, dioxin, heavy metal and dust as well as recover the sulfur resources and produce concentrated sulfuric acid products, and it is a comprehensive resource recovery and flue gas treatment technology. CIE has devoted itself to the research and development of the sintering flue gas cleaning technology for many years, and recently based on the research of the national 863 project of “Industrial and furnace flue gas discharge control technology” and through full cooperation with Tsinghua University and Baosteel, CIE has conducted many years of laboratory tests and small scale tests and has completed the study of desulfurization, denitration and dioxin removal mechanism, the study of catalyst and process flow, and important theoretical breakthroughs have been made , at the same time, the key equipment has been researched and developed and the selfdesign and selfmanufacturing of major equipment by CIE have been realized. After the project operation, the flue gas cleaning capacity will be up to 2×1,800,000 Nm3/h, the annual byproduct of sulfuric acid is 23,000t, the emission indexes of such pollutants as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, dioxin and dust etc. can reach or be more strict than the national standard, the performance indexes of the whole system will reach domestic leading level and international advanced level, the project is a milestone project in our country with breakthrough significance in atmospheric control field.
