Making New Breakthroughs! CIE Contributes to Supply Chain Service Upgrading for Rizhao Port of Shandong
On August 7, the hot-load linkage test run of the Imported Iron Ore Fines Separation and Closed Stacking Project at Rizhao Port of Shangang Changruida Mining (Shandong) Co., Ltd. was satisfactorily completed. The project is constructed by CIE as the General Contractor. This project is a brand-new breakthrough for CIE in material storage and transportation at ports and also a typical demonstration in which the CIE helps upgrade the supply chain services for Rizhao Port.
After the completion of the project, the annual processing capacity of imported iron ore lumps will reach 15 million tons, with the challenge of separating iron ore lumps and fines at Rizhao Port solved and the utilization value of lump ores increased. Additionally, the cargo throughput of Rizhao Port will be increased, and the port transportation environment will be improved. All those achievements will contribute to consolidating the position of Rizhao Port as the most competitive iron ore reserve, processing, and transit base in China and even globally.
