The Quanzhou Minguang Waste Heat Power Generation EPC Project Undertaken by CIEE was Successfully Connected to the Grid for Power Generation
On September 20, the 25 MW Waste Heat Power Generation EPC Project of Fujian Quanzhou Minguang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Quanzhou Minguang") undertaken by CIEE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIE, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation at the first attempt.
Two sets of double-temperature and double-pressure waste heat boilers with circular coolers, two sets of external waste heat boilers with large flues, a set of 22MW double-pressure supplementary and condensing steam turbine and a set of 25MW generator have been built in the Project. The waste gas from the large flues of the new 4# and 5# sintering machines and from the first and second sections of the circular coolers are used to generate HP and LP steam which are sent to the medium and low pressure steam manifolds of the main plant and then to the steam turbine generator unit for power generation.
After the project is officially put into operation, it is expected to generate about 176 million KWH of electricity every year, save about 56,320 tons of standard coal every year, equivalent to about 140,800 tons of carbon dioxide emission reduction, which can significantly reduce the cost of sintering production, and help Quanzhou Minguang develop circular economy and realize clean and green production while improving enterprise efficiency.
