WISCO 2# and 3# Sintering Machines Integrated Overhaul and Reconstruction of Waste Heat Power Generation Project Undertaken by CIEE was Successfully Connected to the Grid for Power Generation

On June 13, WISCO 2# and 3# Sintering Machines Integrated Overhaul and Reconstruction of Waste Heat Power Generation Project designed and supplied by CIEE, a subsidiary of CIE, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation.

 

 

In the project, a set of 84t/h (64t/h for medium-pressure steam and 20t/h for low-pressure steam) double-temperature and double-pressure waste heat boiler was built, including a 15MW supplementary & condensing steam turbine generator unit, utilities and auxiliary facilities. The direct-connected hood-type waste heat boiler independently developed by CIE, and international advanced and domestic first-class environmental protection, energy saving, water saving and resource comprehensive utilization technologies were adopted in the design. Based on the principle of "proper distribution, different needs, parallel temperature and energy cascade use", the efficient recycling of waste heat and the nearly "zero" emission of waste gas from the circular cooler are realized.

 

The project can effectively reduce the energy consumption in the sintering process and recycle the waste gas and heat produced during the sintering to realize energy conservation and emission reduction. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate about 114 million KWH of electricity every year and save about 25,000 tons of standard coal every year, equivalent to about 62,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. At the same time, it can significantly reduce the production cost of sinter and the electricity purchased by WISCO, and bring considerable economic and environmental benefits to WISCO.
