On December 28, a ground-breaking ceremony for the phase I general contracting item of Light-burned Dolomite Project with a yearly output of 2.4 million tons (hereinafter referred to as the "Wuxuan Liuzhou Steel Project") which is owned by Wuxuan Liuzhou Steel Resources Co., Ltd. and constructed by CIE, was launched, which marked that the project officially entered the substantive construction stage.

The funding up to RMB 1 billion is planned to be invested in this project. 12 dolomite double-shaft vertical kilns with a single capacity of 600 tons per day will be built in two phases on the 250 mu of land that has been removed from Wuxuan Calcium Carbonate Upgrading Industrial Park for this project, in a bid to produce 2.4 million tons of light-burned dolomite on a yearly basis. Meanwhile, a green mine base with an annual output of 3 million tons of dolomite aggregate will be built in Luxin Town. The completion of this project will greatly promote the development of the iron & steel base and the metallurgical flux base in Guangxi, and drive the related industries involving surrounding waterway transportation, residential employment and so on. For the phase I general contracting item of Wuxuan Liuzhou Steel Project under construction, 4 light-burned dolomite double-shaft vertical kilns with a single capacity of 600 tons per day and their supporting utilities plants will be built, with an annual production capacity of 0.8 million tons.
