CIEE Signed the Contract for Waste Heat Power Generation and Flue Gas Purification Project of Yongfeng Group

In June 2020, CIE signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yongfeng Group Co., Ltd. According to the cooperation agreement, CIE will undertake the advantageous sintering, pellet design, supply of main equipment of sintered pellets, desulfurization and denitrification of sintered pellets, power generation from sintering waste heat, lime kiln, solid waste treatment (iron increase and zinc reduction) and intelligent manufacturing in the implementation stage of Lingang Project of Yongfeng Group.

  Waste Heat Power Generation Project: The Independent R and D Patent is Adopted to Save Energy and Improve Efficiency

On June 29, CIEE and Shandong Iron and Steel Group Yongfeng Lingang Co., Ltd. signed the EPC contract for the waste heat power generation project of Lingang Advanced Special Steel Industrial Base (phase I).

In the Project, an annular cooler direct-connected hood-type waste heat boiler and a built-in sintering flue waste heat boiler are set up to recover the waste gas heat of sintering ring cooler and flue gas heat of sintering flue, and all the steam generated by the waste heat boiler is used to drive the steam turbine generator set to generate electricity.

The direct-connected hood-type waste heat boiler, which is independently developed by CIE, is adopted in the Project, realizing the zero-distance contact between the waste heat boiler and the waste heat of the annular cooler, and making full use of the radiant heat of the annular cooler to reduce the heat loss of the flue, so as to achieve a higher automation level and further improve the power generation index per ton of sinter. Under the same conditions, the power generation of the direct-connected hood-type waste heat boiler increased significantly compared with the traditional double-temperature and double-pressure waste heat boiler. At present, the advanced technology has been successfully applied to more than 20 sets of projects of Baosteel Headquarters and Zhanjiang Iron & Steel, and achieved good benefits, which has been widely praised by the Owners.

  Flue Gas Purification Project-Integrated Treatment of Sintering Flue Gas, Pellet Flue Gas and Rotary Kiln Flue Gas for the First Time in China

On June 30, CIEE and Shandong Iron and Steel Group Yongfeng Lingang Co., Ltd. signed the EPC contract for 500㎡ sintering machine and 1.2 million t/a pellet and activated carbon flue gas purification of iron increase and zinc reduction line project of Lingang Advanced Special Steel Industrial Base (phase I).

The Project is built to strictly implement the environmental protection policy, meet the relevant requirements of ultra-low emission, and take into account the stricter national environmental protection policy in the future. The Project is constructed in two phases, with an overall planning of 6 million tons, of which 3 million tons in Phase I, including a new sintering machine of 500㎡, a 1.2 million t/a grate kiln oxidized pellet and a rotary kiln for increasing iron and reducing zinc, and a set of flue gas purification system.

The flue gas purification process by two-level activated carbon adsorption is adopted for this Project, which, for the first time in China, performs the integrated treatment of the sintering flue gas fume, pellet flue gas and rotary kiln flue gas. This, on the one hand, greatly reduces the floor area of the flue gas purification system and saves the project investment and operating cost, and on the other hand realizes recycling of flue gas purification by-products to enable to prepare high quality sodium metabisulfite.
