The Panchengsteel sintering desulfurization and flue gas control project undertaken by CIE goes on smoothly at present. Up to Aug 31, 2008, 10m height assembling, booster fan room (air pipe joist), top sealing of press filter room (two stories), PH adjustment tank and oxidized tank foundation etc. have been completed for the shell of desulfurization tower.  The foundation pile construction for the key Ammonium Bisulfite treatment system has been completed, and it is subjecting to stress test at present.

The contract of Panchengsteel sintering desulfurization and flue gas control project was officially signed In February of 2008, it is the desulfurization EPC project undertaken by CIE for the first time, CIE realized a new breakthrough in traditional EPC project business. The ammonia desurphurization technology (NADS) is adopted for the project, after the completion of the project, the sintering flue gas (containing sulfur dioxide) emissions will be significantly reduced. The project is planned to be completed in the end of this year.
