On Dec 5, the thermal load test run of Jielong 400,000t/a iron ore beneficiation EPC project of Chongsteel (Chongqing Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd.) undertaken by CIE was successful.

In order to tap the potentials of local iron ore resources, reduce dependence on foreign iron ores, as well as to cooperate the implementation of Chongsteel environmental relocation project, to slow down the Chongsteel iron ore raw materials supply and develop and utilize the siderite resources scientifically, Chongsteel entrusted the Jielong iron ore 400,000t/a beneficiation project to CIE in mode of general contract in September of 2010.

The project is the first project siderite magnetic roasting (rotary kiln)beneficiation process production line undertaken by CIE. CIE is responsible for design, construction, equipment procurement, installation and adjustment from crude ore stockpile to concentrate bin, including the whole process production line of crushing, screening, coal fines preparation and injection, rotary roasting system, grinding separation system, concentrate and tailing filtering etc.
