On Oct. 29, at the issuance conference of “one hundred classical and excellent projects” for 60th anniversary of New China Founding which was held in the Great Hall of the People, the “Shanghai Baosteel project”, “Ansteel technical construction and expansion project”,and important projects like building group of Tian’anmen Square, National Grand Theater, the Three Gorges water control project on the Yangtze River and the Bird Nest (the national stadium) etc. in which CIE participated in the construction were all commended, becoming the focus of the nation’s eyes. The president of CIE Yi Shuguang as the representative of project construction units winning prizes went up to the stage to receive the prizes, and CIE becomes one of the metallurgical design units which has two projects selected at the same time and are invited to the stage to receive the prizes.
