On Nov.7, the expert review group formed by members of MCC technology department and MCC experts conducted a site review for “the MCC sintering, pelletizing and direct reduction technology center” (which takes CIE as its supporting institution).

After many years of operation, under the guidance of policy of “ establishing open technology innovation system with a high starting point”, the center has carried out research of production process, core equipment, energy conservation and emission reduction and comprehensive utilization of resources for sintering, pelletizing and direct reduction, it has also developed some hitech products with good market feedback and remarkable economic benefits. In order to speed up translation of center research results into productive forces, CIE established a pilot plant test and industrialization base integrated with research, development, test and manufacturing of technical equipment in Changsha national high and new technology industrial development zone (Lugu)。The center and the national sintering and pelletizing information network have organized eight national sintering and pelletizing equipment technology seminars for eight years successively, acting as important bridge and link in technology spreading, exchange and cooperation between manufacturers and institutes in the field of sintering and pelletizing.

During the meeting, the experts group agreed that the center has established a research and development system integrated with research and development, commercialization of research findings, training qualified personnel and technical exchange, the system also combines learning with research and production. The center has established complete management system, trained a high level scientific innovation team, built a base for research laboratory and commercialization of research findings, with continuous and stable input of science and technology investment, many research and industrialization promotion achievements have been obtained, the operation condition of the center is good, therefore, the group agreed to pass the acceptance.
