Technology and equipment of sinter cooling liquid seal developed independently by CIE reach international leading level
On Mar 31, Hunan science and technology department organized and held an appraisal meeting for scientific and technological achievement in“Research and application of sinter cooling liquid seal technology and equipment”. The achievement is completed by CIE which is as the major research unit with joint cooperation of Hunan Huling Lianyuan I & S Co., Ltd and Central South University. By listening to the research report, visiting Liansteel demonstration project site, and through questioning and discussion, the appraisal committee of which Yu Yongfu academician is as the director agrees that, the achievement is a breakthroughs in sinter cooling technology and equipment at home and abroad, the world technical problem of large area sealing for circular cooler is solved successfully, this achievement is initiative and overall technology reaches international leading level.
As early as ten years ago， CIE started to carry on the research work of new generation of circular cooler for sinter, and it built a semiindustrial test device in Lengshuijiang I & S Company in 2001.Through continuous improvement and innovation, with systematic research of sinter cooling process and mechanical equipment sealing technology, CIE developed a series of new sinter cooling technologies such as gasliquid dynamic balanced seal, complex seal with pallet as unit, layerbylayer charging, strengthened gassolid heat exchange etc., and based on these technologies, CIE further developed the liquid seal circular cooler integrated with energy conservation and environmental protection. Liquid water is used as sealing medium for the circular cooler which has a relative independent gasliquid balanced seal and complex static seal system, and new structure of seal device for circular air duct, pallet car, special beam and circular air duct etc. are designed, feeding device with layerbylayer charging function is added, the problems of traditional circular cooler such as high air leakage rate, low waste heat utilization and serious pollution etc. are solved essentially, thus the liquid seal technology and its complete set of equipment product with proprietary intellectual property rights are formed, and the technology fills up domestic and overseas blanks.
The air leakage rate of the liquid seal circular cooler is less than 5%, compared with the traditional circular cooler, its air leakage rate is 80% less, the installed capacity is 20%～25% less, and the waste gas temperature is about 20% more, these are favorable for increasing waste heat generation with remarkable energy saving effect. At present, the product of this technology has been promoted and applied in more than ten domestic sintering plants, and remarkable economic benefits and good social benefits are created.
