On Dec 22, the comprehensive utilization project of Pansteel Xichang VTi resources was officially completed. Sichuan provincial party secretary Liu Qibao, Honorary director of China Iron and Steel Association Wu Jianchang, Vice director of the association Wang Xiaoqi, vice governor of Sichuan province Wang Ling and Liu Jie, Pansteel Group leaders Fan Zhengwei, Yu Zisu etc. attended the completion ceremony . The president of CIE Yi Shuguang and vice president of CIE Wang Gencheng were invited as guests to the ceremony.

In the project construction, one of the key sub-projects contracted by CIE –sintering project bid package 2 mainly includes 2 sets of 360㎡sinter machines and related projects. The project construction includes the whole process from fuel and flux system, proportioning and mixing system, sintering and cooling system to screening system with large engineering quantities. The location for placing the two sets of sinter machines is mainly in earth fill area with large engineering quantities of pile foundation. The seismic fortification intensity is high (8.6), the consumption of steel is high. At the same time, as affected by local sandstorm weather, it is very difficult for site construction. The project is sintering EPC project undertaken by CIE with largest engineering quantities over the past few years, it is predicted to produce 7.8714 million ton (output) sinter annually after startup, making active contributions to “ turning Pansteel to a modern large sized VTi iron and steel enterprise group with international competitiveness”.
