On Aug 28, CIE officially signed the 2×500㎡sintering EP project of Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corp with the Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corp and the Formosa Petrochemical Corporation attached to the Formosa Plastics Group.

It is known that, the Formosa Plastics Group plans to invest in construction of an extra large comprehensive iron and steel enterprise with final capacity of 22.5 million t steel in Vinh Yen economic zone of Ha Tinh province in Vietnam in order to develop the iron and steel metallurgy market. According to the plan, the whole project will be constructed in two phases and in four steps, two sets of sinter machines will be built up in the first step of the phase 1 project, the complete set of fuel crushing and screening system, proportioning and mixing system, product sizing system and product conveying system will be equipped. CIE will undertake the design of the sintering project and supply of major equipment like sinter machine and circular cooler etc.

Recently, the kickoff meeting of the sintering project has been smoothly held in CIE, indicating that both parties have reached the agreement on the project. At present, the related personnel of CIE has entered the site for geological investigation, and the engineering design work has been carried out in full swing.
