On Jun. 4, the site acceptance of the national technology research center for sintering and pelletizing equipment system engineering of CIE was completed smoothly.

The national technology research center for sintering and pelletizing equipment system engineering was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China .It was established by CIE in Jan. 2011, and it is the only national engineering technology research center engaged in engineering technology research and development in sintering and pelletizing industry. Since its establishment, the center has overfulfilled all tasks and has gained a large number of scientific and technological achievements. The center has won 9 ministerial science and technology awards. It has successfully organized 10 scientific achievement evaluations, one of which has reached the "international leading" level and two have reached the "international advanced" level. The center has applied 290 patents, including 94 authorized patents and 12 PCT international authorized patents. 9 proprietary technologies of the industry are formed and two software copyrights are granted. 53 academic papers were published. It has chiefly and jointly compiles ten national and industry standards and codes, and jointly developed 1 design manual (handbook). 32 technical achievements with proprietary intellectual property rights are formed. Meanwhile, the center achieves remarkable achievements in process and equipment technology development of iron and steel enterprises, energy saving and emission reduction, comprehensive utilization of resources and large scale equipment system etc., which prompt the technical progress of the industry and create remarkable economic benefits and social benefits.
