Zhanjiang sintering waste heat power generation EPC project of Baosteel commences
On Aug. 19, the Zhanjiang sintering waste heat power generation EPC project of Baosteel undertaken by a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIE Hunan Zhongye Changtian Energy Conservation and Environment Protection Technology Co. , Ltd. was officially started.
The waste gas of two sets of auxiliary 600㎡ circular coolers for two 550㎡ sintering production lines of sintering plants will be utilized in the project. The waste heat boiler will generate two different quality of waste heat steam through heat exchange, and the steam will be used for electricity generation through turbine generator units, thus the waste gas of sintering cooling production lines are fully utilized. A series of patent technologies developed independently by CIE such as high efficient comprehensive utilization of sintering waste heat and directly connected hood type waste heat boiler etc. are adopted for the project. Two sets of new (65t/h+20 t/h) directly connected hood type double pressure waste heat boilers, one set of 30MW (megawatt) steam makeup and condensing type turbine generator units , one set of 14215m³/h recirculating cooling water system and its auxiliary utility facilities will be set up.
The project will be carried out in two phases, the phase I is to be completed in Oct. of 2015, and the phase 2 is to be completed in Sep. of 2016. It is expected that after project completion, the annual electricity generation will be up to 0.228 billion kilowatthours. 59700 t standard coals will be saved annually, which means carbon dioxide emission will be 149100 t less, and the sinter production cost will be reduced significantly. It will bring substantial economic and environmental benefits for Baosteel. CIE will make great efforts to make a high efficient, environmental friendly and energy saving excellent project.
