It was on December 16, 2016 that “the general contract project integrating design, procurement and construction into one related to hospital construction project of The Fifth Xiangya Hospital of Central South University Health Industry Limited Company” bided by a consortium led by CIE and included by CHINA MCC20 GROUP CORP., LTD. and Hunan Fifth Engineering Co., Ltd. had come into operation overall, which implying that CIE has made a historical breakthrough at entering into health care industry and the general contracting market of exploiting municipal construction engineering.

The project of The Fifth Xiangya Hospital of Central South University is located at the north side of Huanbao Avenue, the east side of Guozhiyuan Road and the south side of Xingu Road of Tianxin District of Changsha City, adjoining to the main stem of Wanjiali South Road, Furong South Road, Zhongyi First Road and Raocheng High Speed. In accordance with the general drawing and planning scheme, the project will use 205 mu of net land, 205 mu of overall floorage and 2,500 total beds, which can remit the trouble of seeing a doctor for people in Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan and even the whole province. The project has been listed into a spare project of a key project in Hunan Province, the construction project of Changsha municipal committee and Changsha government of “6 forefront projects”, and the major project for the people's livelihood of Tianxin District Committee and district government. Positioning in building a large scale general hospital of “firstrate in China and famous in world”, The Fifth Xiangya Hospital of Central South University will blend the advanced idea of the western developed countries’ medical system and the new standard of management service totally into project planning and construction, which will be up to the JCI international certification standards after its construction.

The project will complete its main body project construction on July 30, 2019, in which its foundation and basement construction will be finished before December 31, 2017, the main body structure of its south building will finish its capping before May 31, 2018, its masonry and installation engineering construction will be finished before December 31, 2018, and the refined decoration for 600 beds will be finished before July 30, 2019 achieving its trial operation condition.
