On August 10, CIEE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIE, signed a contract with Fujian Quanzhou Minguang Steel Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Quanzhou Minguang Steel") on EPC contracting for 25MW waste heat steam power generation and PC contracting for 35KV substation of the new sintering plant.

It is another EPC contract on waste heat power generation, which is signed by Changtian Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. following the signing of EPC contract this year between CIEE and Zenith Steel and Yongfeng Group on waste heat power generation, and includes PC contracting project for the substation.

The Project mainly includes the construction of a set of waste heat boiler for double-temperature and double-pressure ring cooler, a set of external heat boiler with large flue, a set of 22MW double-pressure supplementary and condensing steam turbine, a set of 25MW generator and plant, as well as a new 35KV substation. The Project adopts such technologies as highly efficient and comprehensive utilization of waste heat in sintering process, stepped air supply using waste heat of cooler and large flue heat extraction, which are all developed by CIE. After completion, it is expected to save about 30,000 tons of standard coal every year, equivalent to an annual reduction of carbon dioxide of about 75,000 tons, which will play an important "double control" role in total energy consumption and intensity in Quanzhou city.
