On Dec 29, the No. 2 sintering plant relocation and major repair reconstruction sintering project of Hualing Xiangsteel undertaken by CIE was completed and put into production. The Owner appraised the 360㎡ sintering production line as “the most advanced sintering production line with the highest output in Xiangsteel, and with the shortest period which creates the new record in the history of China sintering engineering construction”.

 

It is known that in year 2008, relocation and major repair reconstruction was expected for the two existing sintering production lines and a new sintering production line is to be built based on the 8,000,000t development plan of Xiangsteel. The project was signed in Jan, 2009, the construction was started on Apr 5, the thermal load test run was successful for one time on Dec 15, and the project was commissioned on Dec 29. The project lasted 8 months and it was completed smoothly and a production capacity of 3,800,000t sinter per year was formed, indicating that the Xiangsteel sintering production capacity has made a new step forward and the Xiangsteel technical modification construction has made great achievements.
