Successful connection to electricity grid of Bensteel 360m? sintering waste heat generation project undertaken by CIE
On Nov 30, the Bensteel 360m? sintering waste heat generation project undertaken in EMC mode by subsidiary of CIE --- Hunan Zhongye Changtian Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd was connected into the electricity grid and electricity was generated 12 days ahead of project time limit.
One set of 8 megawatt steam makeup and condensing turbine and a set of 9 megawatt electric generator are equipped for the project, and the waste gas of circular cooler of Bensteel 360m? sinter machine is recovered and utilized in the project. The proprietary circular cooler sealing technology of CIE and its patent technology the directly connected furnace hood type waste heat boiler are adopted for air collection, and the original CIE fan series connection technology is adopted for air recuperation.
After the project is completed and commissioned, the annual electricity generation is up to 24.90 million kilowatthour, the annual external supply of steam is 81,056t, and 17,230t standard coal is saved annually, which means 43,000t carbon dioxide emission is reduced annually and this will significantly reduce the sinter production cost and bring substantial economic benefits and environmental benefits for Bensteel.
