On Jun 26, the 2008 annual technical exchange meeting of national sintering and pelletizing of the national sintering and pelletizing information network（sponsored by CIE）was held smoothly in Zheng Zhou, Henan. The meeting lasted two days, and after all items on the agenda were fulfilled satisfactorily, the meeting closed successfully on the afternoon of 27th. Over 370 representatives from more than 140 units of the national main Iron and Steel enterprises, research and design institutes and a part of sintering and pelletizing equipment manufacturers attended the meeting.

86 papers were received for the annual meeting, of which 62 papers were compiled into the conference proceedings for publication in hardcover, and of which 16 papers were rated as excellent papers of the annual meeting. At the same time, the technical and economic indexes and cost indexes of national sintering and pelletizing were collected and compiled for the meeting, which provided valuable technical data for the whole industry. The meeting will play an important and active role in strengthening exchange of national new sintering and pelletizing technology and promoting technological progress of the whole sintering and pelletizing industry.
