In 2010, Zhongye Changtian officially signed the EPC contract of “(phase two) major project of technical modification for sintering system of ironmaking plant of Panzhihua Steel & Vanadium Co., Ltd” with Panzhihua Steel & Vanadium Co., Ltd of Pangang Group. A new 360㎡ sinter machine will be built for the project on site based on demolishing existing two sinter machines.

It is known that No.1 and No.2 sinter machine of ironmaking plant of Panzhihua Steel & Vanadium Co., Ltd were built in 1970s. Up to now, two sinter machines have produced over 85 million ton sinter accumulatively, but due to their small sintering area, imperfect environmental protection facilities and large consumption of resources and energy, the sinter output and sinter quality could not meet the metallurgical needs and requirements of national environmental protection policies. In order to further improve the production capacity and build a “green Pansteel”, Pansteel decides to demolish the existing No.1 and No.2 sinter machine, and then a new 360㎡ sinter machine with advanced equipment and high technology content will be built by Zhongye Changtian in the form of turnkey project.
