The efficiency of Xiangsteel 2×360㎡sinter machine waste heat generation EPC project undertaken by CIE Leads the field in China
On Dec 17, The commissioning (startup) ceremony of Xiangsteel 2×360㎡sinter machine waste heat generation EPC project undertaken by CIE was held in Xiangsteel. Since the grid connected power generation of double waste heat boilers was realized on Nov 26 this year, the waste heat generation system has been in stable operation. Besides the generation of 0.125 billion k.w.h electricity, the waste heat boiler can also supply 20t/h steam for sintering production, all performance indexes has exceeded the test value, the best record has been set for the similar domestic projects in speed of reaching capacity and efficiency and comprehensive utilization level of sintering waste heat.
Two sets of waste heat boilers and one set of 20MW turbo generator are arranged for the project, the waste heat from the waste gas of circular cooler is recovered to generate electricity, the project was started On Apr 8 this year. During the construction process, CIE adopted a series of patent technologies like “waste gas superposition” and “circular cooler sealing” etc., it also used some advanced technologies like recovery of waste heat recovery in section and its cascade utilization, recirculation of waste gas etc. After seven months of effort, the grid connected power generation of double waste heat boilers was realized on Nov 26, and the capacity and efficiency were reached quickly in three days. 0.125 billion k.w.h electricity can be generated annually, 44,000 t standard coals will be saved every year, 110,000 t carbon dioxide emission will be reduced, the pollution of waste heat on atmosphere is also reduced substantially, the Xiangsteel plant environment is improved, and the economic and social and environmental benefits are remarkable.
