At 6:46 of Apr 17, Xingsteel sintering waste heat utilization project undertaken by CIE was successfully combined into electricity grid.
In the project, the waste heat in the flue gas of No.1 180m2 and No.2 198m2 circular cooler of Xingsteel ironmaking plant was recovered to generate electricity. Two sets of waste heat boiler and one set of 12MW turbogenerator unit are built, the construction scope includes reconstruction of circular cooler for sinter, waste gas and air system, waste heat boiler system, condensing turbo generator system, water supply and deaeration system of the boiler, steam and water pipe network, circulating cooling water system, boiler makeup water treatment system, industrial water system, electric system, automatic thermal control system (containing DCS system), heating and ventilation, fire system, communication and lighting system etc. After the project is put into production, 18,000t standard coal can be saved every year, 45,000t carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced, and 64,000,000 kw electricity can be generated every year.
