On Aug 25, the expert review group formed by expert members of MCC technology development department and group MCC group conducted a video review of the scientific project“Control and treatment of sintering flue gas and development and application of comprehensive utilization technology of sintering waste heat”, applied by MCC sintering, pelletizing and direct reduction technology center which takes CIE as its supporting institution.

The project is lead by CIE with cooperation with Central South University, Panchengsteel and Fangda special steel, and high integration mode of production, teaching and research is adopted, thus advantages of each unit undertaking the project can brought to full play. The developments of sintering flue gas ammonia method, activated carbon desulphurization and denitration technology and new type of sintering waste heat boiler technology are all carried out, the key technology and equipment for sintering flue gas control and waste heat utilization with proprietary (independent) intellectual property rights are formed to further widen the market space of the enterprise in the field of energy saving and emission reduction.

It is planned that the project is to be completed within three years, its review scores rank the first among the 28 scientific projects of MCC engineering technology center.
