On Oct 3, the Brazil Gerdau Acominas 6 million ton beneficiation EP project undertaken by CIE was put into production in full scale, and the celebration dinner was held on that day in Brazil. Agent and Counsellor from the Chinese embassy in Brazil Zhuqingqiao and Jiangdehua made personal appearance in the dinner, congratulating smooth commissioning of the project, and they also reviewed the project construction achievements.

CIE started to implement the project in year 2008, the project is the first EP project of Chinese companies in Brazil large scale ore dressing field, during fierce competition with some first class international companies like AUTOTEC etc., CIE won the bid depending on its own technology and equipment advantages.

The planning topography of the project is complex, the indicators for the test performance and equipment running indexes are all high, and the Owner’s requirements for the project are very strict. As the beneficiation project involves many links, from submission of tender to detailed design, the overall plans of general layout and process have been modified many times, and edition designs have been upgraded many times. In year 2009, the project was suspended due to financial crisis. Under many unfavorable conditions, depending on good reputation and solid technical force, CIE has solved multiple problems including many times modification of the project design, laying aside and aging of equipment and change of plant site and conditions etc., CIE has made efforts together with the Owner, realizing comprehensive commissioning of the project five years and nine months after signing the contract. The advanced technical idea, good equipment quality and serious working attitude of CIE have won praise from the Owner.

The successful commissioning of the Brazil Gerdau Acominas 6 million ton beneficiation EP project has further increased CIE competition and influence in international iron and steel construction market, CIE will also take part in international economic and technical cooperation and competition in larger range, wider fields and higher level.
