The sintering technical modification EPC project of Nanjing steel is put into production
At 10:18 on Dec 18 of 2013, the project of raw material adjustment and technical modification technology for reducing sintering cost of Nanjing I & S Co., Ltd contracted by CIE was fully put into production. The project has annual sinter production capacity of 4.6098 million ton, and it is a strategic project of technical structure adjustment and upgrading before ironmaking process in old area in transitional development of Nanjing I & S Co., Ltd.
There are 5 small blast furnaces and two small sinter machines in the old area of Nanjing I & S Co., Ltd, the production facilities are backward, which is not in conformity of the development of national industry policy. In accordance with the requirements of development planning, it is necessary to conduct technical upgrading and reconstruction of the old area before ironmaking process, that is, to remove the small blast furnaces and construct two sets of 1800m3 blast furnaces. In order to meet the BF production needs, optimize BF burden structure and improve the sintering production equipment level, Nanjing I & S Co., Ltd decides to demolish 4 sets of small sinter machines and construct two sets of 220m2 sinter machines, and the it entrustes CIE with general contracting of this project.
The project was commenced in Mar 27 of 2012. During the construction process, the Nangang project group of CIE cooperated with all subcontracting organizations, with strict management and elaborate organization, overcome such difficulties as tight investment, narrow site and difficult construction etc. and ensured due commissioning of the project. On the day of commissioning, Nanjing I & S Co., Ltd sent congratulation telegram, saying “the thermal load commissioning of project is realized successfully, making indelible contributions for Nanjing I & S Co., Ltd. to reach the target of annual production capacity of 4.6098 million ton sinter of Nanjing I & S Co., Ltd.
