At 10:38 in Dec 24 of 2013, the sintering flue gas desulphurization EPC project of Fangda Special Steel Technology Co, Ltd undertaken by a wholly owned subsidiary of CIE --- Hunan Zhongye Changtian Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd was put into productions smoothly.

The project is the key project of Fangda Special Steel Technology Co, in which the environmental protection policy is implemented, the sustained development is realized and the national regulations for pollution emission concentration and the requirements of Nanchang municipal government for its total sulfur dioxide discharge amount are met, and the project was started in June 26 of 2013.

The “wet type magnesium method desulphurization” process is adopted for the project with designed desulphurization efficiency higher than 90%, and after desulphurization the sulfur dioxide emission concentration is lower than 200mg/m3, the dust emission concentration is lower than 50g/m3 and the synchronous operation rate of desulphurization device and sinter machine is higher than 95%. At the same time, the desulphurization byproduct magnesium sulfate heptahydrate can be recovered and utilized, and no secondary pollution is produced. It is predicted that, after commissioning, the annual sulphur dioxide removal rate can be up to16,996t, which is favorable for relieving the acid rain pollution and dust pollution in Nanchang city and its surrounding area. The environmental benefits are remarkable, which will serve as a model for promoting the regional sulphur dioxide emission reduction work.
