On Apr 18 of 2014, it was known from the work forum of intellectual property rights demonstration enterprises of Changsha, the number of effectively authorized domestic invention patents owned by CIE (up to Dec 31 of 2013) was 179, which ranked No.3 in intellectual property rights demonstration enterprises of Changsha, only next to Zoomlion Company Limited and Sanyi Heavy Industry Company Limited.

Meanwhile, the patent application quantity (139) of CIE in 2013 ranked No.4 in intellectual property rights demonstration enterprises of Changsha, the invention patent application quantity (92) ranked No.3 and the invention patent authorization quantity (25) ranked No.4.

The invention patent is an important index reflecting the company’s ability for technological innovation and knowledge property rights protection. Up to now, CIE has applied 697 patents in total, 24 of which are PCT applications, 397 of which are domestic invention patents, and the invention patents account for 60% of the total.
