The effect of the main exhaust fan frequency control reconstruction project of Xinyu Steel sinter machine is remarkable
Recently, the main exhaust fan frequency control reconstruction project of Xinyu Steel No.8 sinter machine undertaken by CIE has been put into production one month earlier than the contract schedule (period). The project is very effective, all energy saving indexes have exceeded the agreed values specified in the contract.
After frequency control reconstruction and through a period of operation recently, as the main exhaust fan of sinter machine can operate with speed control, the smooth and stable adjustment of air volume is obtained according to production needs, the operation personnel can control frequency accurately, thus sinter output is increased and return fines ratio is reduced. Meanwhile, after frequency control reconstruction, the air damper is all open, there is no need to frequently adjust the opening degree of air damper, thus the air damper maintenance is reduced; With the decrease of operation frequency, the big vibration noise, high loss and serious bearing wear occurring during motor running at full speed are controlled effectively, and the equipment service life is prolonged. What matters is that we can control the fan rotating speed to control air volume by frequency converter and realize energy conservation. With one moth of operation, the equipment operates well and the energy saving effect is remarkable. If sinter output of Xinyu Steel No.8 sinter machine is calculated as 4.1 million t/a, 16.4 million kilowatthour electricity can be saved every year, the actual effect exceeds the commitment value in the contract.
CIE has been involved in main exhaust fan frequency control field for ten years, it has provided main exhaust fan frequency control design and equipment supply service for many sintering projects including Brazil GA, Brazil AMM, Taigang, Baogang, Bensteel Beitai, Rigang, Longgang, Zhongtian iron and steel and Guangxi Shenglong etc. At present, the achievements for the national research project of automatic control of main exhaust fan variable frequency undertaken by CIE has been obtained in this stage, demonstration project has been built in Baogang, and automatic control and adjustment of variable frequency have been completed.
